For Sculptra, results are gradual, occurring over a few weeks but last up to 2 years and in some cases much longer

Depending on the patient's goals and how much collagen they've lost, the number of injection appointments will vary. On average, three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months to achieve desired results.

2. Hypertophic scarring or keloid formation
3. Acitvely using blood thinners or anticoagulants such as aspirin, warfarin, or Plavix

Sculptra produces new collagen and dermal fillers don’t. Fillers use hyaluronic acid to quickly fill in wrinkles while Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid to rebuild the dermis, rather than fill it in.
